Long agent runs lose the thread between sessions. A price, policy, legal requirement, or architecture choice that was settled yesterday can return as an open issue today. Constance carries those constraints forward, reducing repeated arguments while leaving the underlying judgment with the owner.

Three reviewers check each claim without its argument.

When you register a claim, decision, or constraint, three AI reviewers check it with fresh context. They cannot see the agent's current goal or the argument the claim supports. The claim must pass all three reviews before Constance gives it a stamp.

A stamp carries the accepted claim forward.

A stamp records the wording that passed, when it passed, and the attached source and origin. Later sessions can reuse this inspectable record instead of rebuilding the case from scratch. A stamp says what the reviewers accepted at that time. It is not proof of correctness.

Expiry follows the pace of the source.

Each stamp receives an expiry based on how quickly its source changes. Stable facts do not expire. Slow moving documents last about ninety days. Fast moving sources such as API docs last about a week. Once expired, the claim stops counting as settled until it passes all three reviews again.

Constraint crossings produce a decline log.

If a request would cross a settled constraint, Constance declines it and records the decline. The log gives the owner a concrete event to inspect. The owner chooses whether the constraint stays, changes, or goes. Constance does not make that choice.

Each session starts from a constants file.

Before every session, Constance renders a constants file in the user's own environment. It lists settled claims, their sources, and the constraints the agent must follow. The agent starts with that file, so prior decisions are present before new work begins.
